Assistant Center Program Director
Resources for Seniors, Inc. is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Center Program Director to work at our Total Life Adult Day Care Center located in Wendell. The primary function of this position is to assist the Assistant Center Program Director with Total Life Center daily operations. The secondary function is to act as the Center Program Director during the absence of the Center Program Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assist participants with daily living activities (toileting, feeding, transferring, and bathing, etc.)
- Plan and conduct daily activity programs for individuals and groups.
- Implement participant care plans and record progress, revise care plan if necessary.
- Observe participants and inform supervisors of any change in behavior or routine.
- Perform duties of assigned task rotation (nutrition, volunteers, activities, safety and/or medical).
- Work one Saturday each quarter at the Saturday Day Break Group Respite Program.
- Manage floor activities and daily participant schedule.
- Ensure proper staff to participant ratios.
- Plan and facilitate weekly staff meetings.
- Ensure that administrative tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner including, but not limited to end of month reports, petty cash management and receipt of participant payments.
- Ensure a neat, clean and safe environment for the participants.
- Provide training to Total Life Center Staff.
- Assist supervisors with participant assessments and developing care plans as assigned or required.
- Work at other Total Life Center locations as needed with minimum 1-hour notice.
- Know and comply with Resources for Seniors Personnel Policies.
- Maintain participant confidentiality.
- Perform other duties pertinent to program and departmental assignments as requested or required by supervisors.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Commitment to work cooperatively and patiently with impaired older adults, their representatives and staff.
- Ability to plan and conduct individual and group activities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team to achieve the mission of the Agency.
- Strong administrative skills, including intermediate use of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the Essential Duties including the transfer of participants, with or without reasonable accommodations.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent. (Two years post-secondary education or bachelor’s degree preferred.)
- At least one-year experience in the provision of activities and services, preferably with impaired adults.
- At least one-year experience in an Adult Day Service.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid training within one month of being hired.
- At least one-year experience with personal care (health/combination models.)
