Regional Service Coordinator

Essential Functions

  • Connecting seniors with appropriate community resources;
  • Establishing links with other local agencies and service providers to offer wider variety of resources and programs to the senior adults in the community;
  • Scheduling a diverse selection of health/wellness/educational programs at the Senior Centers and assigned apartment complex(es) as needed;
  • Supporting SHIIP counselors/consultations at various site locations as needed;
  • Attending continuing education sessions and other trainings/meetings as needed or required;
  • Maintaining departmental, agency reports and other required administrative records on an ongoing basis;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Four-year degree in a social science field highly preferred/equivalent experience considered;
  • Knowledge of services/resources available within the community for seniors and disabled adults;
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills;
  • Advanced user in Microsoft computer applications;
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing;
  • Extremely self-motivated and able to work independently;
  • Clean driving record.

(SHIIP certified counselor is highly preferred but not required upon hire)

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, verbally communicate or hear;
  • The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand and reach with arms;
  • The employee must occasionally lift up to 25lbs.

This service coordination position is a full-time, benefit eligible, exempt position working an average of 40 hours a week Monday-Friday.
